Year 9/10 Cricket Tournament

Year 9 and 10 Cricket Tournament Team

A big congratulations to the twelve students who represented Sirius College in the Year 9/10 Woodlands District Cricket Tournament on Monday the 18th of February. This was Meadow Fair’s inaugural cricket side; the boys represented and competed for the college with excellent enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The boys finished second overall on the day, with one win and one loss. Unfortunately luck was not our side as poor weather effected both our matches. We lost to the eventual winners, Gladstone Park, by only 20 runs in the first match. The second match earned Sirius its first ever win in cricket with a dominant performance against Aitken College.

Our best all-round performer was Ahmed Iqbal. He made the most runs for the team during the tournament. Ahmed also bowled and fielded with great endeavour and skill.

Well done boys!
